Conference Title - Tourism in India - Challenges Ahead

Venue - IIM Kozhikode. Kozhikode is the new name for Calicut. It is a major town in north Kerala. Note that the letters 'zh' is pronounced as the letter 'Y' in the word "Yash"

Globalization and hence the rapid exposure to internatonal competition and markets has caused domestic companies from Rapidly Emerging Economies (REEs) such as China, India and other countries in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America to grapple with continuous change.
The colloquium will bring together international scholars and practitioners to address the political, economic, sociological, cultural, institutional and legal factors and issues that shape governance structures, employment relations, and management practices in the contemporary functioning of organizations.
The colloquium will debate how evolving management practices, processes and change, in their convergence and divergence across industries, cultures and nations, are shaping the world, and our understanding of it, today.

Faculty Training Program - First Batch
It gives me great pleasure to announce the start of the first FTP at Gurgaon. Till this step, Faculty Members had to go to Hyderabad for this program.
Ms Hemlata has kindly accepted to be the program coordinator and trainer resource for this program. She has a huge responsibility on her shoulders to make this a successful program. She tells me that we have about 25 nominations for the three areas - Marketing, finance and QT.
Many Faculty Members are asking about the other modules - HR, IT and SS. We shall add them on quickly. The bottleneck is availability of trainer resources.
The program is scheduled to start on 12th November and close on 14th December.
Nominations for this program are still open. Last date is October 31st.

I have created this blog spot to disseminate information on Programs for Faculty. These programs are in-house and selected external (Third Party) programs.
